La berberina es un complejo botánico que se encuantra en plantas cómo la berberis vulgaris. Se ha utilizado en la medicina ayurvédica por cientos de años por sus diversos beneficios y actualmente cuenta con la evidecia científica gracias a la investigación moderna. La berberina es utilizada en el resistencia a la insulina, diabetes, dislipidemias, hipertensión, entre otros padecimientos, ya que apoya el metabolismo de glucosa, salud cardiovascular y gastrointestinal.
